Welcome!
The Tintern Grammar Library 3D printer is an exciting feature of the STEAM centre.
On this page we will feature works from staff and students, as well as hosting guides and templates for your laser cutter projects.
If you have any questions about the 3D printer, we are keen to here them. Please email libraries@tintern.vic.edu.au with any and all laser cutter inquires.
If you wish to submit a piece for printing, please be mindful that material for the laser cutter is expensive, so larger, solid pieces will be less likely to be approved then smaller ones.
If you wish to submit a piece to the library for 3D printing, send an email to the library with your design attached in a .STL file format, along with colour preferences and the dimensions of your piece. We will then assess the request and get back to you as soon as possible. 3D printing can be very quick, but it can also take quite some time. For larger pieces with more complicated support structures the turn around can be up to 3 days, so make sure to submit works early.
